Sealing test of plastic materials with Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01
We performed welding tests on plastics of various materials and thicknesses with Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01.

The ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01 welds materials in a dot-line pattern without using adhesives or tapes.
It is used by rotating and sliding the gear tip on the handpiece.
Sealing can be done while drawing dot lines, and can be used for sheet materials such as non-woven fabrics.
We conducted welding tests of various plastics with Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01.
In general, ultrasonic sealers are able to weld thermoplastic resins.
However, Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01 can weld some materials easily and some materials hardly due to the shape of the welding tip.
We have tested various materials and thicknesses of plastic. We hope this information will help you when you consider the purchase of this product.

Not good.
0.5 mm PVC is too thick to weld and the wheel tip does not rotate smoothly.
It is impossible to weld in a straight line with one slide. (I had to re-grip it many times.)
7. 0.50mm PET ×2 sheets
[Result]
Not good.
0.5 mm PET is also too thick to weld and the wheel tip does not rotate smoothly.
It is impossible to weld in a straight line with one slide. (I had to re-grip it many times.)
8. 0.008mm PE ×2 sheets
[Result]
Not good.
The o.oo8mm bag was too thin to weld.
The weld marks make no trace of the dot line.
This is because the wheel tip did not rotate and slipped off.
9. 0.03mm PP ×2 sheets

Not good.
The o.o3mm bag was also too thin to weld.
The weld marks make no trace of the dot line.
10. 0.03mm PP x 4 sheets
[Result]
Good.
After folding the o.oo3mm bag one time, and welding the overlapping parts into four pieces.
Dotted line welding has been successfully made.

1. 0.05mm PVC – Good
2. 0.06mm NY,PE – Good
3. 0.09mm NY,PE- Good
4. 0.15mm PS – Good
5. 0.20mm PP – Good
6. 0.50mm PVC – Not good (too thick)
7. 0.50mm PET – Not good (too thick)
8. 0.008mm PE – Not good (too thin)
9. 0.03mm PP – Not good (too thin)
10. 0.03mm x 4pcs PP – Good
Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01 is very useful when you want to fasten small parts that are difficult to adhere with a normal sealer or when you want to fix them without using adhesives.
However, the seal quality will change depending on the type and thickness of the material.
