Weld faux leather with Ultrasonic sealer

We tried to weld faux leather by  our Ultrasonic sealer.

■Material

Polyurethane faux leather (Thickness : 0.5mm)

■Machine

Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01 with optional straight-line point sealing tip.

■Welding test and results

We continuously sealed with Ultrasonic dot-line sealer L-QP-01 with the straight-line point welding tip.

Welding strength is as strong as it cannot be peeled off even when pulled by hand.

We also tried welding with a regular dotted welding tip, but it peeled off when pulled hard by hand.
In our welding test experience in the past, polyethylene cloth and polypropylene non-woven fabrics weld by dotted line tip do not often peel off when pulled by hand.

However, the polyurethane faux leather we tested this time seemed to be a harder material to weld than those materials.
The welding strength was better with repeated point welding than with dotted line welding.

We made a miniature bag using synthetic leather with Ultrasonic sealer.

The fabric that was welded tightly didn’t come off when turning it over.

Some faux leather products, such as fashion accessories and seat covers, are welded with Ultrasonic sealers to make adjustments to details.

In this article, we introduced welding of polyurethane faux leather with Ultrasonic sealer.

Welding strength in Ultrasonic sealers changes depending on the material and thickness of materials.
